Sally works with you to design your strategic planning process and then to implement a comprehensive and meaningful strategic plan. The goal is to develop a plan that is relevant, vital, and alive, and is informed by the contributions of your leadership and staff team, your board, and other key stakeholders (such as funders and partners).

Recent client engagements in the strategic planning area include: leading the strategic planning process for a national caregiving organization; supporting the development of a strategic vision framework for a national cancer advocacy organization; and working with a global training institute on annual goals and priorities.

Mini Case Study

For a national health based advocacy  organization, Sally worked with the senior leadership staff team and board to develop a strategic vision framework, focused on mission, vision, priorities and values.  The focus was not only on getting clarity on these areas, but also on developing an externally facing (brief) document that could be shared with funders, potential funders, partners and others. The process included reviewing all of the non-profit's planning as well as externally focused strategy documents, developing a questionnaire that Sally used in a half-day facilitated board meeting, drafting the strategic vision document based on the input received, and then iterating with the board/leadership team to finalize it.  The end result is simple, clear, brief and compelling.
